Hello! My name is Kathryn, I am a student going into my third year of the Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience program at Dalhousie University. I grew up in a big family, often looking after my younger siblings and babysitting since I was 12 years old. I have experience looking after all ages of children, and very passionate about the families I care for! I took the bronze medallion course for life-guarding, and have CPR and first-aid training. I am also a type one diabetic (diagnosed when I was 10) and have been volunteering at Canadian Diabetes Association camps for several years; therefore, i feel extremely comfortable caring for children with the same illness, as well as other immune diseases that may require more care (i.e. insulin injections, blood glucose monitoring, diet restrictions, etc.).
