Certifications - obtained in 2016 from the City of Toronto Paramedic Services: Standard First Aid Adult, Infant & Child (C) CPR _______________________ I have been working as a nanny for the past 10 years and it has been the most gratifying work that I have ever had. It's work like no other. You must love it in order to do it properly. It's not just about showing up and taking care of the children, it's about giving the children and their families all the love you have. It's about being part of the family and watching the children grow healthier and happier every day. It's about the smile in the face of the parents when they come home from a long day of work. It's about the smile in the face of the children when they see you come in. It's about sharing experiences and cultural backgrounds that add to both your life and that of the family you are taking care of. In my experience as a nanny I have worked with twins, as well as children close in age to each other. I have worked with children who have just been born and all the way to six years old. I prefer to work part time (3 days / week), as a live-out nanny, with a family who has very young children and stay with them in the long term. I will do everything that has to do with the children, from meal preparation to washing their dishes and clothes. I usually do not engage in housekeeping, but I am open to discussing it.
