My job scope was largely in the computation of patients’ bills and the preparation and processing of Birth Certificates for purposes of registration at the Office of the City Registrar. After two years, I was promoted to the Supply Section where I was overall in-charge of the making of stencils and printing of all the documents and forms needed in the hospital. In addition, I assisted the Supply officer in the allocation and release of supplies needed in the hospital. From 1991, I worked in Hong Kong as Domestic Helper for 24 years. I worked with Chinese and Filipino families. Mainly, I look after children from new born baby until they grown up. For 24 years, I worked and served three Chinese and three Filipino Families. Being a domestic worker in Hong Kong gave me deep understanding the true meaning of responsibility and accountability to both employers and myself.
