I sponsored Adeline Bamba as a live-in caregiver for my mother, who has Alzheimer's. Adeline Bamba is hardworking, intelligent, dedicated and pays attention to small details to make sure those in her care are looked after properly. Adeline has a very pleasant and cheerful personality and my mother bonded with her very quickly. Another wonderful quality that Adeline has is that she is extremely thrifty. She cut my mother's hair (beautifully) and looked after her nail care, which was very nice. We had been sending her to the hair salon and nail spa but with Adeline looking after this we no longer needed to. She is careful in her grocery choices (looking for good value and good nutrition) and is also a good cook and prepares nutritious meals. I point this out because Adeline is not our first caregiver but she was by far the most thrifty. Adeline was also very good company for Mom, taking her out on walks when the weather permitted or putting on music so she and Mom could "dance" as exercise when it rained, or going to the mall to do mall walking. I only wish Mom could still be at home and Adeline could still be with us. Unfortunately, my mother's Alzheimer's progressed to the point that she had to be institutionalized.(She can no longer walk and requires two attendants and a hoist to get her from bed to wheelchair) This was devastating for us, not only for Mom's sake but because we had to give up such a wonderful employee. On a personal note, my mother and I have come to love and respect Adeline and we hope that she will find a family who will respect and appreciate her not only for her skills but as a valued individual.
