My name is Jaelyn Kinsey, I have always loved children. Being the youngest of five children in my family, I was always given the role of babysitting the youngest cousins at family gatherings and this has allowed me to easily be able to connect with kids. For the past three years I have taught Taekwon-do to kids age 4-7, I found it amazing to watch be able to help kids grow and come out of their shells as they got older and more comfortable with who they are. This experience has driven me to want to become an elementary school teacher. For the past three years I have also volunteered at my local fire department as a junior firefighter. I am in the process of renewing my First Aid and CPR certification and am very well prepped for unexpected situations. I am also a very organized person, I don't mind at all tidying and cleaning up if it'll be helpful. I'm not especially skilled at cooking but I can whip up a simple meal no problem and I am very adaptable and learn quickly. I started attending school young so I graduated at only 17, I am planning on taking a year off of school and working to be able to build a solid foundation leading me into my future working with children.
