Nanny in Kingston, Ontario

***Currently hired with the school board 21-22 - looking to nanny for summer 2022 or occasional help in evenings*** Hi! I am an RECE looking to be a live-out nanny. I have always known I wanted to teach, however it wasn't until being in the ECE program that my love of young children and my commitment to them and their families was solidified. I am well-versed in all of the current pedagogy, which means I believe that young children learn most from play. In terms of my experience, I am the eldest of 4 children meaning I started babysitting young! More professionally speaking, I have: *Taught at a licensed childcare centre for the past three years *Facilitated an after-school dance program at the Toronto French School while attending university *Been a student in infant, toddler and preschool rooms during my educational placements *Received a specialized placement while in school at a non-profit childcare centre working with low-income families and families of children with identified disabilities *Worked at my final placement (specialized one mentioned above) upon graduating as enhanced support for staff as well as their supply ECE I am passionate about treating every child equally, regardless of ability differences. Children need to be challenged and know that their ideas are valued and acknowledged by adults. I'm an advocate for early learning, and over the past couple of years have developed my own philosophy and approach to child care. Educational jargon aside...
