My name is Brenda Watman and I am a 19 year old, full time student studying psychology at the university of calgary, hoping to go on to do some sort of special needs care after I graduate. I am looking for a fun and constructive opportunity for me to gain some more experience working with special needs children. My passion for special needs children developed this summer when I volunteered at a special needs orphanage in Lima, Peru, providing play, therapy, and some personal care (feed,clothing) to individuals with disorders rangeing from autism, to downs syndrome, and some severe neurological disorders such as cerebral palsy and macrocephaly. I am looking to gain experience working with children with downs syndrome and/or autism/autism spectrum disorders and/or ADD/ADHD. I am available to babysit/enterain your child by watching them at home or taking them to do fun activities every weekend starting in september!
