Dear Sir/ Madame, Hello. My name is Rie. I am a Japanese female who is looking for a job as a live-in caregiver for children, an elderly or a person with a disability. I’m honest, organized, compassionate and extremely hard working. I like reading books and inspirational quotes, watching movies, calligraphy, traveling alone and trying to do new things. Currently, I have been taking a 6 month caregiver training program, which is a classroom based training, including knowledge of disabilities, care of the elderly, discipline for children, nutrition and First aid/CPR. I'm supposed to graduate from school at the end of November. I work at an institution for senior citizens as a volunteer weekly in Edmonton and give them manicures. I really enjoy communicating with them. Also,I assist staff care for children as a volunteer weekly, and I support their activities and set limits. Besides, I've worked at an institution for senior citizens as a volunteer in Vancouver for 3 months.(12/05-0...) I worked in a church day program for senior citizens, served lunch and led recreational activities such as sing-songs, cards and games once per week. I feel very comfortable with elderly people and like to have conversation with them. In Japan, my grandmother had a dementia, but my family including me lived with her for a long while. I believe she was happy with us. I really liked listening to her old stories and old songs that she would often sing for me. I would like to work as a live-in caregiver. Please ask me any question.
