Dear Parents! I have recently began a new career path as a birth doula also offering newborn care. As a birth doula I offer non-medicine alternatives to pain relief such as massage and relaxation techniques, while offering support--physically and emotionally--to you, your partner and other family members. For newborn care services, I offer care day, evening and/or night. Some of the duties include: caring for baby while mom sleeps, showers, reads, etc., preparing bottles/pump, assisting with breastfeeding, doing light laundry and housekeeping, nutritious meal prep, baby-calming techniques (I have been called the \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"baby whisperer\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"), and being there for mom emotionally. I am updating my CPR/first aid in February. I hold a healthcare aide and child care assistant certificate, as well as an Introduction to Birth for Doulas certificate through Birth Roots. I have a clean driving, child abuse and criminal record, which can be provided. References can also be provided on request.
