Dear Parents: There are no \"Mary Poppins\' in real life, but in some ways you may find I come close. A native of the Isle of Man in Britain, I have been deeply interested and engaged with childcare all my life. Beginning my career with work in Children\'s Homes, and including stints as a Nursery Nurse in Maternity Units in Birmingham, and London, I have avidly sought to understand and assist children in their life\'s journey from birth to school days. My formal training includes an NNEB certificate from the UK and an ECE certificate from Canada. I have lived and worked in Canada since 1987, serving professional families as a nanny, with three extended stays among them. I am happy to present references from throughout my career, and I am pleased to remain an \"Aunty\' with two families. I have cared for children from birth to aged 10, with duties including cooking for the children, laundry for the children, plan activities and arrange play-dates; taking them to and from school or activities by transit or foot.
