Nanny in Toronto, Ontario

Dear Family, Spending time with kids is rewarding - they will give you their sweetest smile, biggest hug and love you back just like you are a part of the family. Being an au pair in The Netherlands for a year and nanny for more than four years here in Canada made me realize how huge role I play in rearing the kids to grow in a nice manner. And it really takes a lot of patience and maturity to do that. I am hoping that I get to experience this again if you are going to give me the chance to be your nanny. I would be utterly delighted to hear from you. I have been an au pair in The Netherlands for a year. I took care of two children, a boy of 4 years of age and a girl of 3 years of age. It has been a two-way learning process for us in terms of language. I have learned Dutch from them and they have learned English from me as well. It was just an amazing experience, they were really wonderful kids. The boy went to school full time, 5 days a week so his parents took charge of drop off/pick up from his school while the little girl was with me all the time. We always went to the park, played games, walked with their dog and i brought and picked her up to school for two half days by bike. The best thing about The Netherlands is their bike lane. It is safe and cheapest form of transportation. In Canada, I am taking care of two girls. When I got here, they were only 6 and 10 and now they are 10 and 14 years old. How time really flies! While they are at school, I am busy doing general housekeeping and that includes cleaning, tidying and organizing the house, doing the laundry, ironing and I also take care of their two cats. When they were smaller,I assist the girls with bathing, provide games and activities that would be fun for them. Now, after school they need to do their homework first before doing any activities with me. I also helped them with their homework if needed.
