Dear families, My name is Zahra Batool and I'm a university student about to begin my third year in nursing. I chose nursing because I'm deeply passionate about providing individualized care to people who require it. I'm willing to be more than just my title, whether it be child care or adult care attendant. I strive to be a mentor, a friend, a listening ear. Given the opportunity, I'd like to prove that to you and your loved ones. When I was younger, I did a lot of babysitting for my neighbors. This generally included doing crafts and activities, preparing meals, taking them out to events in town, supervising homework/chores, addressing emotions, getting them ready for bed, etc. I have worked with children between the ages of 3-10. Additionally, I also have had two hospital placements where I worked with individuals with varying physical and mental illnesses or disabilities. Although I don't have specific experience with children fitting that description, I'm certain my background will not make that an issue whatsoever.
