Nanny in Thunder Bay, Ontario

Dear Families, My name is Sarah Grant, and I am a registered teacher with the OCT, qualified to teach Elementary school, as well as music and English. Working with children and young people is a passion of mine, and I am currently seeking nanny positions in the Thunder Bay area. As a graduate of the Bachelor of Education and Honours Bachelor of Arts (Music) programs at Lakehead University, I am currently qualified to teach children in the Primary age category, which includes early school age children. Over the past year, I held the position of full time Arts Education Teacher at Connaught Community School in North Battleford Saskatchewan, and was required to design, plan, and implement lessons and programing for students aged from 4 to 13 years. I have a passion for music and the arts, and have training in the areas of Dance, Drama, Music, and Visual Art, which I firmly consider to be assets for children during the developmental years. I have spent a great deal of time teaching children and youth in music lessons, dance classes, summer camps, and musical ensembles both as a volunteer and a paid employee. I am a registered Music Teacher, currently in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers, and have both an HBA Music degree, and a Bachelor of Education. Experience with children includes leading dance classes, private vocal instructor, day camp leader, co-ordinator of a musical group called GLEE CLUB, and working with a variety of children's drama productions. I am currently qualified to teach children in the Primary, Intermediate, and Senior age categories.
