Dear families, My name is Miriam I am a student at the University of Ottawa in Political science and Communications. I am fully bilingual and take great pride in french being my mother tongue. I am full of energy and I believe that I have a very enthusiastic nature. I love to laugh but most of all I take great enjoyment in making others laugh. I am quite organized and cleaning often makes me feel better for reasons that I cannot yet explain. I live an active life and always like to fill my time with activities such as dancing, skating as well as yoga. I\'ve worked with children for most of my life. When I wasn\'t taking care of my cousins I was often volunteering at the Daycare attached to my elementary school where I myself grew up. As a child, I attended a day Camp that had such a welcoming atmosphere I never wanted to leave and so I later became a counsellor. I worked with wonderful children of all ages and I soon became a special needs counsellor. There is this feeling I often had at the end of the day and it was a hope that maybe I changed at least one child\'s life that day. I have 3 to 4 years experience working with children in a camp environment. I was responsible for a large group of kids that varied in number from 5 to 10. I was responsible for tending to their basic needs and ensuring that they played in a comfortable environment. I played and also created activities to make sure that they had a great experience. The ages were usually from 2 to 10 years old. I was also a babysitter for family with newborns, infants as well as toddlers.
