Dear Families, My name is Charlotte MacKenzie and I am a fourth year student at the University of Calgary completing a BSc. in Geography. I have always been passionate about working with children, as I myself am a very energetic individual. I have had many opportunities working with children from coaching basketball camps, working as a mentor for a grade 5 student on Wednesday evenings (through Family Catholic Services), to working as a counselor for children with developmental disabilities. I am extremely compassionate and patient. I believe I take after my father’s love for working with children; he’s devoted his life as a pediatrician and pediatric geneticist to helping children. I come equipped with leadership skills as well as a selfless character, one of a person who understands what it takes to be part of team. I attribute these characteristics to being part of the women’s varsity basketball team at the University of Calgary.
