My name is Vivian Maria Martinez. I am from Vancouver, BC born and raised. One year ago I decided to start volunteering at a local community centre called Ray-Cam Co-operative Centre and that experience helped to reassure my decision to pursue a career in childcare. I am currently enrolled in the ECE assistant program at the Vancouver Community College and will be certified by the end of March and will be qualified to apply for my government license. My long term plan is to continue my studies part-time in September 2016 to receive my full certificate in ECE. I am a nurturing, calming, playful and sportive individual who is confident in being a reliable and stable support system to a family. My experience as an older sibling as well as my volunteer experience at the Ray-Cam Co-operative Centre has given me experience in entertaining children with arts and crafts, games, indoor and outdoor activities.
