Nanny Job in Coquitlam, British Columbia

We are the Khani-Kalviri Family living in Coquitlam west (Brunette-Lougheed). Our family requires a full-time caregiver for their child, aged thirteen and, to start immediately. This position would be for 2 years. Caregiver will be required to work 5 days per week, 6 to 8 hours shifts. Hours and start times will vary depending on employer’s work schedule. Both parents work shift work, so caregiver must be available to start as early as 5am during the week, and to work some weekend when required. Hourly wage is $11 per hour. Roles & Responsibilities: • Supervise and care for one child • Arrange activities for child and provide them with the chance to utilize their curiosity • Bathe, dress and attend to the personal cleanliness of child • Perform light housekeeping activities such as cleaning, dusting and vacuuming • Prepare food and healthy snacks according to child’s diet • Take child to and from school and appointments • Organize and take part in child activities; games, crafts, reading and outings to amuse and exercise • Support the social and emotional growth of child Requirements: • Minimum High school completion • At least 1 year experience taking care of or working with child • Enthusiastic to work with child, well organized and attentive to child needs • Flexible in hours of work Monday to Friday, as early as 5.00am, and available some weekends • Work hours 30 to 40 hours per week. • Fluent in English is mandatory. Speaking Farsi is an asset. Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is not a condition of employment.
