Good day my name is William Shmuir and I am a Child and Youth Worker that has over ten years experience working with people with disabilities. I am currently a volunteer board member for a federal non-profit corporation called Community Functionality Facilitation Inc. (CFF Inc). CFF Inc. assists people with disabilities connect to services that they need in order to become more of participants within their communities. Between 2003-201... I also had the position of Executive Director of Treatment for CFF Inc. This position required me to connect people with disabilities to treatment services, work with all levels of government to develop various programs and polices to assist people with disabilities to become more of participants within their communities. I also worked with individuals with disabilities in areas of crisis counselling, self esteem building, life skills, self advocacy skills. Now all though I have worked with people of all ages and disabilities my specialization is working with children and youth. I take my job seriously as I use a client focused approach in fostering independence, self worth, and general good living.
