Nanny in Okotoks, Alberta

Currently on Maternity Leave** Hey! My name is Olivia and I am slowly looking for childcare opportunities in Okotoks & South Calgary Area. I was working full-time as a Certification Level 3 in a daycare here in Okotoks, until the government shut down due to COVID-19. I currently have a little guy, Cal and am on maternity leave with him. If the right opportunity presents itself, I’d be interested in finding a good fit with a new family come November, 2023. In June 2016, I graduated with a Degree in Child and Youth Care with a Child Protection Specialization from Vancouver University in Nanaimo, British Columbia. I have many years of experience with long-term nanny positions and started babysitting at the age of 13. Since graduating high school in 2010, I moved to Australia and was an Au Pair for two years. During my time in University I worked alongside a family alternating between full and part time. My experience with children varies with age range, however most of my experience is with children under 10 and under, this includes newborns. I have accompanied two families on travel - one to Palm Springs for just over 18 days and the other from Australia to Canada for a 3 week Christmas vacation. I have also worked for a family who was visiting Victoria, BC from Virginia for their families wedding. For them I worked the entire weekend - staying with them and caring for their kids round the clock 72 hours. If weather permits I love to take children outside for walks, bike rides, swimming or exploring. I'm always up for playing dress up, cars, dolls or creating a beautiful finger-paint master piece. I believe that children need to use their imaginations and love creating games and joining in on their creative fun. Please feel free in asking any questions about my experience, both in terms of nannying as well as previous practicum and employment experience as I am happy to answer any questions you may have. I am hoping to find a family that I can work alongside and be each other's prefect fit. What I’m looking for may be a unicorn, but you never know. I’d love to find a family who’d hire me as an employee, this would mean paying into CPP, vacation pay etc., but who would also allow for Cal to join us every day.
