My name is Sarah Phillips and I love working with kids! I am 24 years old and have a degree from Dalhousie University in French and Religious studies. I am passionate about working with children and in the next few year I hope to complete a Bachelor of Education and become an elementary school teacher. I have been babysitting since I was a young teen and I have also worked as a mother's helper. While I was completing, I worked as a French Language Assistant in a primary/grade 1 class at Chebucto Heights Elementary, which I enjoyed immensely! It was so much fun. Last spring I had the opportunity to work as a Substitute Toddler Assistant at Atlantic Montessori School. This was also a great experience and I am thankful that I was given an opportunity to work with this age group of children (18 months to 3 years) and also that I was able to learn about the Montessori philosophy. I also would love to get to know you, your child and your family. I fully believe that a nanny must be the right fit for a family and vice versa, so I think it is very important that everyone gets to know each other! In my spare time, I love doing arts and crafts. I like to dabble in a lots of different things, I've done anything from sewing, to crochet, knitting, embroidery, painting, drawing, and more! I would love to make projects with your kids and teach them some crafty skills that I know (and learn from them too)! I love getting outdoors, going on walks, reading books, cooking and baking, and all sorts of other things too! I look forward to hearing from you and meeting your family!
