Nanny in Vancouver, British Columbia

Dear families, My name is Nicole (Nici) Hierzer. I graduated from my school in June 2016 and have a degree as a kindergarten teacher and ECE Instructor. After graduating I was in the US for a year as an Au pair where I took care of 13 months old twin boys. Then in my year back home I worked in my profession in Kindergartens and Toddler Groups (Preschools) for an agency around Styria. Nevertheless, I still wanted to work more as a Nanny/Caregiver with children in another Country because I really enjoy different cultures, experiences and challenges that cross my way. In September 2018 I came to BC/Canada as a Nanny and now I work here with 3 boys in an age-range of 1-7. As a Nanny/Au pair my job includes *nutritional and healthy meal-preps, change diapers and clothes, give baths, brush teeth, do laundry, dishes and light housekeeping, manage meal- and activity plans. *I go swimming with children, to playgrounds, the library, family centers, on walks, do experiments, play music and sing songs, read stories, do physical activities and games, explore the nature around us and have a clear daily routine for structure and stability. *Additionally, to caring for the children I am also happy to help with pet care, groceries and homework supervision. Being a Nanny fits me as a person, because I can combine my passion to work with children and traveling. I love learning about countries, cultures and traditions as much as exploring nature. I think I could be a great addition for your family as a nanny because of my experiences, my open-minded personality and empathy. *My biggest passion is music. I play different instruments, sing and write songs and have it in my daily routine while working with children. *I also love doing arts and crafts myself and in my work with kids, messy and non-messy ones! *I prepare games and learning materials for children any age. *I take great care of emotional and physical growth and learning paths of children to each individually. *I have a big repertoire of games, songs, craft ideas and physical activities for kids and love to just enjoy every day while filling them with ‘’learning by doing’’ moments. *I also like to bake and cook Austrian/German meals but am not limited to those and read a lot. I started caring for children at the age of 12 with family and neighbor kids. After that I gained a lot of experience during my internship during my education in my school. I had internships every year of my five years of studying in various Kindergartens, toddler groups and pre-schools. And work experience from being an Au pair and nanny but also in a list of educational institutions as an ECE "Jumper" throughout Austria in 2018. I am ready for challenges and not easily stressed by any situations that might come up as my “thread of patience” is very long.
