Nanny in Calgary, Alberta

I'm 28 years old, and I live in a suburb just outside of Chicago, Illinois. I started baby-sitting when I was 12, and I really enjoyed taking care of the neighborhood children. I recall on one occasion I took a stack of my old childhood books with me to read thinking the kids would pick a few to read. We read the entire stack :) Recently, as my friends and family have started to have families of their own, I have had many opportunities to help out with child care of kids of all ages. Twins run in my family, so I've helped out with two sets (2 girls & 2 boys) since they were born. When I have a free weekend, I enjoy staying with them and helping out with whatever is needed: playing, crafts, reading, picking up LOTS of toys :), cooking, cleaning, laundry, feeding, and diaper changes. I have realized the importance of a structured schedule for the children. I currently work as an auditor. I have a degree in accounting and finance with a minor in Spanish. Sports have always been a big part of my life (soccer, basketball, and track), and I was on my collegiate Track & Field team. Growing up, I sang in the choir and played the clarinet. I am now looking for a career that is rewarding. I have successfully completed the American Red Cross Advanced Child Care Training course. I also have CPR and First Aid Certifications.
