My name is Rachel and I am currently taking a year off between my studies at UBC. For four years I attended UBC Okanagan where I studied and played varsity basketball and finished the past two years of my degree at UBC. I’m a writer and work with team canda men’s beach volleyball on the side. I am very active and into all sports as well as anything that has to do with the outdoors. I have grown up volunteering in my community and working with a large spectrum of different children in many different environments. I have been to a lot of countries and have brought back with me knowledge from my travels that I believe has helped me become a very understanding and inclusive person. I love to cook and bake; my speciality is chocolate chip cookies and thai food. I would be more than happy to help with any form of meal prep. My schedule is pretty open right now as I am just working around studying of my LSAT that I am planning to retake in November and January. I have been around children from varying aspects of life and have developed the skills to deal with each individual situation accordingly. I worked for a professional children's party company for two years being a party host where I helped run the party, faceprint, play games, initiate actives and make balloon animals which is something most children seem to really enjoy. I also have a lot of experience with children with mental and physical disabilities, as well as severe allergies and learning difficulties. I speak and write very basic French, and excelled in all other aspects of school and would love to help children with their studies if they were having difficulties. I am a huge animal lover and would also love to help with your pets and walk your dog.
