Nanny in Halifax, Nova Scotia

A recent Sociology graduate of Dalhousie University, I currently work for Environmental Defence, planning and facilitating educational workshops and events throughout Halifax. I plan on opening my own Life Coaching business, specializing in childhood motivation and goal setting, and am seeking employment that allows me to spend time with children before doing so. I believe I have a a lot of positive skills to share with these young, expanding minds. I have plenty of experience with children, and currently nanny part time during the summer. I have spent several months, employed as a full time nanny. Previously, I organized and ran a summer theatre camp for two summers in Ontario, where I was responsible for up to ten children aged 4-12 for two months. It really taught me to enhance my creativity and to work on my toes. As far as school settings go, I was employed as an in-the-classroom tutor, and kindergarten supply teacher. I was responsible for preparing children for provincial testing, working one-on-one and with groups. I also organized team sports. On a more personal level, I am eternally optimistic, extremely driven, and follow direction well. I also thrive in leadership positions and am comfortable with organization and communication. Most importantly, I am a kid at heart, and find myself most comfortable around children, as I am continuously intrigued by their authenticity.
