Nanny Job in Calgary, Alberta

Hi there, We are looking for a very part time nanny/ french tutor. (5-12 hours a week) Our 2 oldest kids are in french immersion, grades 1 and 2. My husband and I know very little french, so we are not as helpful as we wish we could be. Our 7 year old son (grade two) is struggling a bit, so it is mostly him that we would like help with. However, a traditional sit down and tutor style wouldn’t work with his new found stubbornness in addition to our very busy household. Finding someone who can help me with the kids, in french, seems perfect. We have a full time nanny who works irregular times around my husbands shifts at the hospital. I work from home, but spend most of my time with the kids who are 1,3,5,7. Having your help one regular evening a week (Tuesday’s or Wednesdays work best for us currently) and occasional weekends is what we are looking for. The job would entail: -Speaking french for the majority of the time spent with the kids. -Helping with homework and reading. -Making sure they practice piano. -Playing, crafting adventures and science experiments. -Tidy up and light cleaning after kids are in bed. - The evening meal will be prepared but the occasional weekend that you work, you will be required to make the kids lunch and at least prep a family dinner, depending on your comfort level in the kitchen. - Depending on the evening, you may be required to get our 7 year old to his evening activity and back. Your main focus would be the 7 year old, though I expect the 5 and 3 year old will join in on any fun being had. Occasionally I would like to leave all 4 with you so that I can get some work done. This could be 5-12 hours a week, depending on your availability.
