I am a professional Registered Early Childhood Educator in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators. My CPR-First Aid was renewed February of this year, as was my Vulnerable Sector Police Check (as required bi-annually). I have been advocating for the rights of children and their caregivers for many years. I've had the privilege of serving on the Task Force for Maternal and Newborn Care in Ontario for five years. I've worked with all age groups from newborn to aged 12 in daycare settings, home-care, after-school programs and for short-term respite. I have taught Ages and Stages of Infant and Toddler Development to young parents, high school students and new Canadians. I simply love children. Every single thing about them. I love the way they learn, communicate, grow, teach and bring out the silly, happy child in me. I am currently volunteering at VHA in Scarborough through the Early Access program for new mothers who need support and are struggling with postpartum depression and isolation. Helping parents is the best way to help children. As a parent of four young adults I especially appreciate how difficult and frightening choosing the proper childcare worker can be. I also believe that a successful union is absolutely necessary for all involved. Just as finding the 'right fit' is extremely important for you, it is equally important to me.I am an active person. I swim, ride my bike everywhere, nature hike, play drums, sew and read everything I can get my hands on.
