Nanny Job in Shediac, New Brunswick

Reliable, Mature, Fun, Unflappable, Kind, Creative Camp Leader, Housekeeper for 13 year old boy & animals - 2 dogs, 2 mini horses. We are looking for Mary Poppins meets farm girl. Ideally bilingual as son attends French school but may be flexible on this depending on candidate. The position is live in. We have a self contained apartment available. We live in the Shediac Bridge area. 5 minutes from the water. Car necessary. You need to show a demonstrated love of children & animals & be organized & energetic. You also need to LOVE the outdoors winter & summer. Must be prepared to engage in a variety of stimulating and creative indoor and outdoor activities with my son and pets. Must not be afraid to get dirty in the name of fun! From gardening to beach to baseball. You must be organized, flexible, steady, patient, kind, warm, honest & nurturing and be able to function with a high level of leadership. Must be good at working independently and at cooking and meal planning with input. We eat very healthy. Must be up to date in terms of current child care techniques - we do not use physical displine or punishment with children or animals. Must have previous child, home care & dog care experience. Farm and dog care experience is great. Camp counsellor leader experience is huge asset as is Boys & Girls Clubs, Girl Guides, Big Brothers Big Sisters or other similar volunteer work. Responsibilities include: being child companion, homework check in, transport to after school activities, animal care, household organizing and chores ie. cleaning, tidying, meals, laundry, gardening etc. Position hours may vary but primarily 130to 930pm or 2 to 10pm Monday to Friday. Some weekends, holidays and overnights. Pay depends on experience . Other must haves: own vehicle, previous professional experience with children outside of own family, current professional references, proof of criminal background check with clearance for children vulnerable sector Must be Non-smoker and absolutely must be drug free Sorry need older than teens given responsibility level.
