Nanny Job in Manotick, Ontario

Loving, warm, gentle childcare wanted for a bright 5-year old boy and a sweet toddler girl (11 mos) Longterm, Part time: Daytime, Monday-Friday, occasional weekends (hours vary: 10-20 hours per week). This may increase to full time when mama goes back to work full time. Location: South of Ottawa (Manotick) Dates : Beginning as soon as possible Approach to Childcare: We resonate with the unschooling, Waldorf (Steiner), and democratic school child philosophies. Young children should be supported to remain in a state of wonder, undirected play, etc... as much as possible and be outdoors for much of the day, exploring and wondering about nature. Duties: Childcare, food preparation, cleaning, cooking, laundry, tidying, etc... Transportation: Must have own transportation. Other requirements: Willing to become CPR certified, level C. Have a current police records check. Must be a non-smoker. Comfortable with pets (We have a dog --gentle, loving, 12 year-old golden retriever).
