Nanny in Lethbridge, Alberta

My name is Jenna, I'm 18 years old and just graduated high school. I'm taking a year off school to work and then I plan to go to the university for social work next fall. I have never nannied before but I took a babysitting course when I was 14, and I have been babysitting on and off since then. I have spent my past 3 summers volunteering at kids camps— Southern Alberta Bible Camp and Greenbay Bible Camp. The various camps are for children ages 5-16. The kids stay at the camp for 3-7 days (depending on how old they are) and the staff are "cabin leaders" for a group of 6-8 kids for the week. I was a cabin leader and so I would essentially take care of the kids for as long as they were at the camp for. This entailed participating in lots of activities with the kids: swimming in the lake, doing crafts, singing songs, playing games, and so much more. It also involved helping them get up and ready in the mornings, as well as bedtime routines in the evenings. I also volunteer in the nursery at my church for children under the age of 3 and so I have lots of experience with all different ages. I am available immediately to work full time or part time (whatever is needed), at any time of day or night. I'm very willing to negotiate my wage, based on the number of kids, their ages, etc. Overall, I want this job simply because I enjoy playing with kids, taking care of them, and spending time with them.
