Nanny Job in Leduc, Alberta

We are looking for a wonderful nanny this fall! LEDUC -- Twins! Fall 2018 (12 month contract) 3-4 days per week, 27-32 hours per week 1 day: 10am to 8:30pm (includes bedtime as needed) 1 day: 8am to 4pm 1 day: 8am to 4:30pm Additional day: optional or as needed * It is with great excitement that myself and my husband seek applicants a live out Nanny position. You would be joining our family starting August 30/18. Your focus will be the care of two young twins, 10 months old * Our hope is to find someone who is available to join our home with the hours posted above. There will likely be optional additional hours available should you desire them. * We have a home office where we meet with clientele during our part-time business hours. We are seeking a nanny who is comfortable with mom working from home and enjoying time with our boys during breaks. There will be some days where you are fully in charge of the boys (as we work) and some days during which we need another set of hands to have a successful trip to the Stollery etc. * Our family values a healthy and active lifestyle, and childcare centred on compassion, education and love. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong ability to connect with our boys, manage a busy schedule, and communicate well with us as employers. We are specifically looking for a candidate who will show initiative with both our boys and with household tasks. * Duties will include, but are not limited to: Supervising and tending to the emotional well-being of both children Feeding, diaper changing, and bathing as needed Bedtimes as needed Attending social activities (library lap time, play dates, etc) around the neighborhood Finding creative age-appropriate ways to entertain and educate the children including park outings and encouraging imaginative play Housekeeping including family dishes, family laundry, watering indoor and deck plants, etc.. We want our boys to have cleanup before play modelled to them in an age appropriate way. Light family meal prep including cutting up veggies, making smoothies, cooking in the instant pot (we are happy to teach you how) Meal prep for our boys as scheduled Maintaining a safe and healthy environment for the children and family pets Very basic care of the family pets (2 whippets) who require potty breaks and feeding as needed Accompanying mom on errands, medical appointments, and outings * We are looking for someone with the following experience: 2 recent years of experience working as a Nanny Experience caring for multiple children Experience caring for children under 1 year old First Aid and CPR certificate Clean criminal background check Comfortable with super friendly medium dogs * Compensation $15-$18, based on competency, initiative and experience paid monthly or bimonthly Vacation pay will be calculated based on 2-3 weeks paid vacation per year, and paid monthly Christmas break – we will have a 2-3 week hiatus from child care Summer 2019 – we may invite our nanny on holidays with us (to Maui) for 2 weeks, if not, there will be another hiatus from work. * References will be required.
