I have been a nanny when I entered Canada in 2005 to a 3 year old boy and of different ages in the succeeding years. My primary job is to look after him when the parents are away, preparing his meals, doing the laundry if the child is having a nap and some other household chores during my free time, taking him to the playground if the weather permits, read books with him, play with him, doing some crafts and clean up toys after him. Looking after the welfare of the children is on top of it. Being patient, kind/giving and emotionally available for the child is very important as well.
