Nanny Job in North Vancouver, British Columbia

Hi Nannies! We are looking for a loving, engaging, reliable and energetic nanny for our 1 year old daughter, starting February 2017. She is a happy, easy going baby who loves to interact and play with others. We are a young family who loves the outdoors and spending time with our family, friends and dog. We need someone who is safety-conscious, fun, patient and kind. The job priority is meeting our child's learning needs and keeping her safe, happy and healthy above all else. Light cleaning, meal prep and pet care are optional. This will be a part-time position of approximately 10 weekdays per month. The hours will be 7:00 am to 3:30-5:00pm. 1-4 days per week, different days per week. I am able to provide your schedule a few months in advance. This is a live-out nanny position. Location of our home is near Norgate Park in North Vancouver. It is close to transit, but prefer our nanny to have a car or driver's licence to take our child to drop-ins or activities in North Vancouver. Duties will include: - providing stimulating/engaged care (interactive play, reading, singing, educational games, creative arts) - caring for our girl using a child-led approach and positive discipline techniques - carrying out the daily routine of meals, play, drop-ins etc. - outdoor excursions to the park, library, kids' events - helping to prepare healthy meals and snacks (as needed) - light housekeeping (negotiable) - pet care (negotiable) Requirements are: - Experience caring for infant/toddler - Fluent English - Non-smoker - Physically fit to take our child for walks - Children's CPR and First Aid an asset (or willingness to receive training) - Recent criminal record check preferred - Driver's licence
