LOVE the kids, HATE the annoying pet!

The other day, we received an email from a nanny that just adores the children she cares for...but really hates their dog.
I love the family and the kids I'm working with! But, their Portuguese Water dog I can do without. Firstly, this 100 lb dog thinks its a lap dog! Secondly, as soon as you turn your back, it's eating off the kids' plates and the kitchen counter. It's tail is like a constant moving rope, and is at the perfect height to whip the toddler in the face 75 times a day!!
I'm at the end of my rope. How should I address this with the parents?
