Nanny Job in Calgary, Alberta

I am looking for a long-term part-time nanny/mother’s helper for an 11 year boy. As my work schedule is not static, I will need someone who can be available at varying times. I live in the SW close to MRu and a short drive from UofC, so this position might be ideal for a student looking to make consistent cash each month. My child is incredibly independent and ultimately just needs someone to drive him to and from sports, and to ensure he gets his homework done. I am willing to negotiate salary and setup the arrangement as a retainer. Reason being one month I might not need much assistance while other months may require a lot more. A set salary each month will provide more consistent and predictable income. Time Commitments would include: • 2 days a week (4 hours a night) every week to meet child at home after school, prepare meal, finish homework and then drive to and from sports commitment. Note that my son busses to and from school, so this will not fall under the nannies responsibility. Schedule approx... 4 pm – 8 pm. • I travel for work and will need someone to stay in my home for 5 – 10 business days a month. There is a fully furnished spare bedroom to accommodate. Responsibilities will include waking up with child and ensuring he eats’ breakfast and gets off to school (he busses during the school year but requires a drive to daycare or camp during the summer months). Will then need to be back at the house around 4 pm to meet him from school. You will have free time for the bulk of the day, 8 am – 4/5 pm. Requirements: • At least 2 years of experience • Minimum 2 references • Need to have own vehicle and have valid driver’s license • Need to possess skills to be stern with a strong willed boy. Patience and attentiveness also important • Need to have flexible availability • Need to be ok with VERY small dog
