Family in Schomberg

We are looking for a positive, cheerful nanny to join our family in Schomberg. We have three boys, ages 5 years, 3 years and 7 months. I, the mother, am fortunate to be mostly at home with the boys and will continue to be so but require assistance particularly with housekeeping and meal preparation. We are rural and our household is full of action and we try to enjoy the outdoors as much as possible. Our 5 year old has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. He is extremely high functioning, totally verbal, a bright and fun-loving little boy but can be fairly challenging at times with a strong will and very persistent nature. We would love to find a nanny with some previous work or personal experience in dealing with a child on the spectrum as he can require an elevated amount of patience. We enjoy our children very much and consider them a tremendous blessing and it is important to us that our days are filled with positivity, joy and experiences that help them to relish and treasure their childhood. Our ideal candidate would be responsible for helping me with: overseeing the children, occasionally doing activities and playing with the children, occasionally reading to the children, occasionally taking the children for walks and time spent outdoors, assisting with the daily routine of dressing, eating, napping and bathing. Duties will also include cleaning, assistance with meals and laundry. Nanny is required to have at least 2 years of experience, as well as CPR, First Aid and French would be a huge bonus. We are looking for someone patient, caring, fun-loving with a sense of humour who\'s creative, enjoys nature and loves kids. We are looking for a full-time, five day a week arrangement. We hope to find someone who can start immediately. If you are interested, please contact Shannon at either 905-939-... or 416-705-... or email at Please include a resume and cover letter in your application. Our eldest son Leeson has been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. He is very high functioning, completely verbal, capable and most people don\'t even realize there is anything out of the ordinary. He is generally a delightful, bright and loving little guy who loves to laugh and can be so sweet. At times, however, he can be quite challenging around transitions, general persistence and sibling rivalry.
