Nanny Job in Victoria, British Columbia

Hi! We are a family that likes to have fun, respect others, be kind, and say yes to life. We recently returned from a 4 month adventure in Europe with our 3 kids ages 4.5, 2.5, and 6 months (at the time). We have returned to Victoria and "real life". In September, we (the Mom and Dad) started/returned to work and our eldest started Kindergarten at Margaret Jenkins in Oak Bay. We are looking for someone to become part of our family and look after our 3 and 1 year old 3-4 days a week. For schedule we are thinking Tues, Wed, Thurs, and Fri 8-8:20am to 3:30-4pm. We are open to being part of a Nanny share with kids of similar ages as well. We would like to occassionally include our eldest for professional days or other school closures. We just moved to Fernwood and would prefer you to be based from our place as a live-out nanny. There are three playgrounds within short walking distance, one being Fernwood Community Centre. We also have a backyard and play room. Our kids are very sweet and super cute. The baby is extremely social, generally very happy and chill (teething can cause grumpiness), and loves to be where the big kids are. Our 3 year old is a little more reserved and can take a bit to warm up to people. He has the biggest most loving and generous heart and is quite funny. He loves to build things and will do quiet play on his own or more rambunctious play with his brother. He will need someone who can be calm, patient and compassionate as he works through his shy-ness. He will sometimes nap but is not on a schedule. The baby naps twice a day - once in the morning for about an hour and then in the afternoon for about two hours. They are both pretty good eaters. You will be someone who loves kids, likes playgrounds, and is not tied to their phone. We like the kids to have outside time each day but it's not as crucial for these two vs. our eldest. Bonus if you like to bake or cook as our 3 year old loves it. We try for attachment style parenting and will want our Nanny to as well. We do not believe in punishments but do believe in connection, guidance and natural consequences. We do NOT do time outs.
