Nanny Job in Hawkestone, Ontario

I am currently looking for a part time nanny to work mornings on weekdays - 8/9am to 12/1pm. **update** we are now also considering applications for full time. Mornings would be with one child (2.5) and afternoons would be with two children (2.5 and 7). We have two children age 2.5 and 7, but this position is for the 2.5 year old. The only exception would be from time to time if the 7 year old is home for some reason. We are an attachment based, child affirming family that practices emotional validation, child-led learning, and embedded teaching opportunities. It is important to us that you are familiar and comfortable with this style of child care/development. We are looking for someone who: - is educated in (or pursuing education in) child care/development, or has equivalent experience; - is high energy, creative, silly, fun - can plan fun, play based activities each day (or attend local toddler programming) - is patient, kind, caring, intuitive and "tuned in" with little kids - has a valid vulnerable sector check, CPR and first aid are an asset as well We may from time to time ask you to assist with food prep, tidying or light housekeeping if you are willing or interested, but generally your priority will always be child care. We live on a hobby farm in a lovely neighborhood in Oro Medonte with a beach and playground within walking distance. You will need transportation here as there is no transit. Pay will be commensurate with experience and education, but I anticipate $20.00/hour /- (gross). Please feel free to apply if you qualify, and we can discuss the rate further.
