Nanny Job in Fort McMurray, Alberta

Hello, I'm looking for an extremely dedicated and experienced nanny for a 3 year old and a 2 year old, live in or live out. I am a registered nurse with irregular shift work hours and need someone who is very flexible and dedicated to my needs. Your primary duties will be the loving care of my children: feeding, bathing, teaching, and playing as age -appropriate. It will be expected that you take the children outdoors every day, weather permitting. House work will include vacuuming, washing the floors, laundry and general maintenance of the house. You will not be required to cook for the house - only prepare food for the children. We will always communicate honestly about job expectations and be respectful to agreements. Your hours are full time including weekends, you must be flexible and follow my work schedule which includes evening and weekends. You can be assured that I am easy-going, flexible, fair and respectful. Willing to provide LMIA/sponsor if needed. Actual job description to follow: Major Responsibilities: Create a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment for the children Be a loving and caring adult role model for the children. Supervise the children’s activities at all times. Plan and prepare nutritious and healthy meals for the children, feed the children Dress the children Place the children down for naps and bedtime Bathe the children Change diapers, assess for skin breakdown, and apply creams and ointments to aid in the health of baby’s skin Potty train the children Teach the children good social manners Play with the children, both indoors and outdoors Plan outdoor activities, take the children to the park, weather permitting (above -15 degrees celsius) while ensuring children are dressed appropriately for the weather Plan and lead educational activities, including reading, with the children Discipline the children, when necessary, according to employer’s philosophy Take the children to and from activities Administer medicine to the children as needed Housework as discussed Keep a journal to document concerns, comments, and questions Know the emergency procedures and contact phone numbers in Nanny Reference in case of emergencies Job Qualifications and Requirements: High school graduate Experience caring for children Training in early childhood education preferred First aid training and child and infant CPR - MUST BE CURRENT Authorization to work in Canada - you must arrange for your own work permit (but the LMIA is already approved) English proficiency Reliable, honest, and trustworthy Physical ability to care for a young child Ability to plan, organize, and multitask with minimal supervision Most important is ability to spend time with children outdoors while keeping the house tidy and neat.
