Nanny Job in Halifax, Nova Scotia

Hello my name is Caroline. I'm looking for a nanny living in Halifax, Nova Scotia who can work in our home in the North End (Halifax peninsula). I will be returning to work Monday, January 6th and am in need of an in home care provider to begin immediately after Christmas. A Little Bit About Our Family: I am a mother of two sweet kids- a three-year old girl named Juno and a six month old boy named Leo. My husband and I recently moved here and we are a bilingual family- we speak Spanish with our children as my husband is from Spain. As a family we love reading, cooking, going for walks, travelling and visiting museums, the Discovery Centre, laughing and generally being silly. This Job is for You If: • Love children and enjoy play-based learning • Have 2 or more years of early childhood education experience working with young infants • Possess clean criminal record and vulnerable sector checks. • Can provide 2 references. • CPR certification and fluency in Spanish would be an asset. • A variation of experience and skills will be considered for the right person. Service Requirements: Our small home in the North End needs someone who can support us with childcare for my infant son and occasionally my daughter (she is currently in full-time daycare), light housekeeping, meal preparation and occasional errands or grocery shopping. The hours would be Monday to Friday 9:00am to 2:00pm with some Fridays off. On average you will work around 25 hours a week but it may be more depending on our work schedules. The position would start on January 3rd to help baby adapt to his new caregiver before I start work on Monday, January 6th. The training would only be for a few hours each day and will be paid.
