Nanny Job in Ottawa, Ontario

Hello! We are a young family looking for an occasional nanny/sitter. I am a doula (birth support) and yoga teacher, and my husband is in the service industry so works early mornings and sometimes late. We are looking for someone with flexible availability mostly for weekday daytime hours during when I am called to a birth, after a birth (so I can nap if I've been up all night), when I am visiting clients during the day, and occasionally evenings. This is a unique position in that I cannot give you specific days/hours... you would essentially be on call when I’m on call, so a willingness to be flexible is a must! As my schedule gets busier there may be opportunities for a weekly stipend for the right individual. Our son is a 3-year old charmer. He loves books, animals, baking cookies, playing make-believe games with his cars and toys and being outside. He is always on the go and has a stubborn streak! He loves showing off his new skills, especially to new people in his life. Our daughter is 7.5 months old and is an incredibly easygoing baby who is always smiling. We are a cloth diapering family — I am more than happy to show you the ropes if you haven’t used cloth before. In addition, you must love and be confident around dogs! We have a large, 5 year old greyhound mix who is very laid back and incredibly sweet. We also have a 9 month old medium-sized vizsla x bernedoodle puppy, who is *mostly* well behaved but quite possibly too smart for her own good. This position may be more suitable for a retired individual looking for occasional work, but all applicants will be considered if you have the right availability and reliability.
