Nanny Job in Woodbridge, Ontario

We have one toddler approaching 2 yrs and are anticipating the arrival of 2 twins this spring! We have a little Yorkie. Mommy will be on Maternity Leave – so we are looking for a trusted and experienced second set of hands. We are able to drive the kids around as needed. We are open to the option for a live-in. KEY QUALIFICATIONS - The most important: 'Experienced Caring for Children': Focused on our 3 babies, character traits - patience, reliability and the ability to multitask are essential. The nanny will serve as a loving, nurturing and trustworthy companion to children. - Physically Able to Care for Toddler/Infants:You must be able to lift and carry small children (our toddler and infants) without difficulty. - Language Skills: Able to Speak and Write in English - CPR & First Aid: First aid training and child and infant CPR is a must. - High school graduate minimum. - Training in early childhood education preferred - Car, driver’s license, auto insurance, and safe driving history not mandatory but an asset. - Authorized to work in Canada. - Reliable, honest, and trustworthy - Ability to plan, organize, and multitask with minimal supervision Major Responsibilities - Provide a Safe, Loving, and Stimulating Environment:should be stimulating and filled with play that is both educational and fun. The children must be able to play inside and outside daily while you carefully supervise them. -Maintain a set schedule/routine, which includes naptime, meals, learning and in/outdoor play. - Plan educational activities, including reading and craft time, with the children - Meal Preparation:Preparing their meals, bottles and feeding them. You will be expected to prepare meals for the parents as well on occasion. -Housekeeping: You will be expected to do light housekeeping. This includes keeping their rooms clean and tidy, doing the laundry and cleaning up the kitchen after meals. Heavier duties including vacuuming, mopping and bathrooms may be required from time to time. -Grooming and Care: Includes dressing the children and teaching them to dress themselves, diapering and toilet training. Grooming, brushing hair and providing the children overall goals in hygiene. Bathe the children as required -Teach the children good social manners and communicate often with them. - Play with the children, both indoors and outdoors - Supervise the children’s activities at all times.
