Nanny Job in Vancouver, British Columbia

We are an active, responsible, young family looking for a part-time nanny for our 1 year old twin girls. We live in Kitsilano and are looking for someone who could start mid-September so that mom can resume her career on a part-time basis. We are looking to ramp up to 2 days a week during the workweek, with some occasional evenings for date nights. There will be a training period, so we will ramp up to this for everyone’s benefit. We are looking for a somewhat long term arrangement, so as to build a stable relationship between the girls and yourself. Your typical day looks like this: - Arrive at 8:30 and entertain the girls while mom and dad get ready for work. - Throughout the day, take care of the girls, play with them, read to them, take them to the park/playgroups , and being a positive influence on their young minds. - We are working with a strict nap schedule, and have had great success after a sleep training phase. - Prepare meals for the twins, and clean up with some light housework. - End your day around 5:30 when mom or dad gets home from work. About you: - 3-5 years experience as a nanny - First Aid/CPR Training - Very proficient English skills - Some kind of child care training - Clean police background check. - You are a non smoker - You have great references - Eligible to work in Canada. Nice to haves: It’s a bonus if you have experience with twins, know another language, and like to live an active, outdoor life.
