Nanny Job in Toronto, Ontario

We are two families seeking a full-time, permanent, live out caregiver for two one-year olds (nanny share) beginning in June 2016. A minimum of 45 hours per week, Mon-Fri (8:00am -6:00pm) and the potential for additional hours of overtime work. Part time employment is available immediately (leading up to the full time employment period). We are located very close to Bloor Lansdowne station. We are looking for a patient and fun-loving caregiver who is also able to provide structured activities and routine. You must be fun and engaging! No screen time allowed. Must be willing to take kids out of the home for museum, science centre, and library and park visits. Recent experience with infants and toddlers is a must and use of a second language is a bonus. Preference will be given to candidates who are ECE (or equivalent) students or graduates. Caregiver requirements as follows: - Supervise and care for children - Take children to/from scheduled activities and appointments as required - Prepare children for rest periods - Organize activities such as games, crafts and outings for children - Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development - Prepare and serve nutritious meals for children (including clean up) - Perform light housekeeping duties - Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home - Keep record of daily activities and health information regarding children Qualified caregiver must have: - First Aid Certificate, - CPR Certificate Experience: Minimum 2 years Language Requirements: Speak English, Read English, Write English Child’s Age: 2 Children who will be one year old as of June 2016 Work Location Information: Bloor and Lansdowne Security and Safety: - Criminal record check Transportation/Travel Information: Travel expenses paid by employer, Public transportation is available Compensation: To be negotiated based on experience and qualifications We will provide caregiver passes to AGO, Science Centre and the ROM. We may also sign the kids up for music/art classes.
