Nanny in Grande Prairie, Alberta

Hi! My name is Megan. I am 30 years old. I just moved back to Grande Prairie from Burlington, Ontario to be with my boyfriend, so we can continue growing our life together. I have been a nanny for 3 different families, over 4 years. I was 23 when I started working with my first family and I was with them for 2 1/2 years. The children of all the families were between the ages of 2-7. Each family routine was very similar. I would arrive just before the parents left for work and get the kids ready for school; making their lunches, helping them get dressed making sure teeth and hair was brushed and obviously made sure they had breakfast. I would walk them to and from school each day. While the kids were at school full time I had a 2 or 3 year old with me. Depending on our day we would colour, paint, read and spend as much time outside as we could. We would leave at 3pm to go get the kids from school. Once home, the kids would hang up their jackets, shoes and backpacks. They have a healthy snack and homework needs to be completed before they can go play. I also did some housework like vacuuming, laundry and sometimes groceries. Before I was a nanny I worked at a Children's Centre. I absolutely love being around children and helping and watching them grow. They are the sweetest little humans who say and do the funniest things and you just wonder where do they get that from?! I am a God mother to the most loving 7 year old, whom I helped look after her since she was just days old. And as of October 28 of this year. I became an aunt to a beautiful little girl named Harper and I can't wait for the day to have children of my own! Just a couple more years! But I loved being a nanny and I know I will love it again!
