Looking for a care giver for my 2 children, age 7 and 10 in Vancouver area. Job overview: Location : Vancouver Hours : 40 hours/week. Permanent full time Start date : ASAP Wage : $15.00 per hour Optional Accommodation is available. Hours will be from Monday – Thursday 6:00 a.m to 10:00 am and 2:00 p.m to 6:00 pm and Sunday 10:00 am to 6:00 p.m. Indigenous persons and new immigrants are welcome to apply and will be considered if qualified. JOB REQUIREMENT: 1. Able to communicate in English 2. Secondary school diploma is a must 3. At least 1 year full time experience or 2 years’ part time experience in child care 4. Demonstrate ability to perform the work. 5. Organized, efficient and friendly. Loving attitude is an asset. JOB DESCRIPTIONS: 1. Supervise and care for children in employer’s own residence 2. Bathe, dress and prepare healthy food for 2 children age 6 and 9 3. Oversee children’s activities such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by the residence’s owner and oversee the children’s personal hygiene 4. Maintain a safe and healthy environment for the children 5. Take the children to and from school and to Doctor and Dental appointments and to the park/library. 6. Participate in activities such as games, crafts, readings and paintings with the children. 7. Keeping record of daily activities and health information regarding each child. 8. Tend to the emotional well-being of children and support their social development. 9. Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents. 10. May have to perform minor housekeeping duties 11. May have to accompany children to and from school from time to time.
