I'm looking for a positive and caring work environment with a family who prioritizes the well-being of their children. Getting outside and being active is important to me, as is taking advantage of moments when things are a little quieter! I hope to find a position where I can really put my experience and education to work to benefit not only the children, but the household as a whole. Some things I prioritize in childcare: ~ early reading, writing, and language skills ~ day-to-day math (measuring, counting, geometry, and pattern recognition) ~ continued development of gross and fine motor skills as well as hand-eye coordination through play ~ respect and enjoyment for the natural world ~ participation in the community (from going to parks to going to a local stampede breakfast!) ~ taking responsibility for one's own actions ~ dealing with emotions in healthy and expressive ways that are productive rather than destructive
