Nanny Job in Markham, Ontario

Live-In Nanny required for a full-time position in our Markham home. You will be responsible for taking care of our two sweet little boys who are 4 years old and 16 months old. In addition to your primary care-giving responsibilities, you will: - Provide a healthy and safe environment for them to grow and learn - Assist with our 4 year olds activities and school work (he will start kindergarten in September 2012 - Play games and activities to assist in their development; - Take them for walks, playing with friends, read stories, sing songs, etc. - Prepare nutritious meals for both boys. We will also require a few non-child care duties such as housekeeping, laundry and helping with meal preparation. We are loving parents who both have full-time jobs and therefore require someone that is responsible, trustworthy, loyal, and dependable with a strong work ethic. We have been lucky enough to have a nanny who has become very much a part of our family. Our boys love her and this puts our mind at ease to know that they are well cared for and loved. As she is leaving soon, we would really like to find someone who also loves being with and taking care of children and is looking for long-term working relationship. The ideal nanny has at least 3 years experience taking care of a family with 2 or more children, preferably young boys in the toddler and pre-school age group. The first priority is always caring for the children but you must be able to also manage taking care of the additional responsibilities in the home. Certification (or willingness to be certified) in First Aid & CPR is a must. Our home is located in Markham and very close to public transit (York Region & GO train services) plus stores, schools and parks.
