Nanny Job in Vancouver, British Columbia

Busy professional family with an active six-year old and newborn looking for a responsible, reliable and positive person to help with childcare, general household duties and personal errands. Looking for a one-year term for a live-in position that includes room and board on a separate floor that would offer a good deal of privacy and includes bedroom/bathroom/kitchen/living room and outdoor space that would largely be left to nanny, especially on evenings and weekends. We need flexible help with child care - some full days, some split shifts, some evenings and some weekends - schedule to be established. Additional assistance is required for housekeeping, laundry, organization, grocery shopping, possible meal prep and running. Position requires approximately 40 hours per week with some flexibility and start/finish times although structured schedule and long-term commitment is desired as we work together on what works best for family and applicant. Strong English speaking and writing skills, relevant experience, references, first aid, criminal record check and a clean drivers abstract are required for position. Ideal applicants will also have a valid driver's license, experience and enthusiasm for caring for newborn (most often) and a high-energy little boy (on occasion), ability to perform general house work / cleaning and home organization. Compensation will be based on experience, duties performed and ability to manage various responsibilities. Position to begin as soon as ideal applicant found -ideally December 2015. Compensation would include room and board and salary as employee to be negotiated.
