Nanny Job in Calgary, Alberta

We are looking for an individual who can act primarily as a housekeeper and cook, as well as provide caregiver support such as transportation and supervision for 4 teenage children ranging from 12-16 years of age. The bi-weekly schedule at a high level would be as follows: • Week 1 – 10 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday, 40 hours (cleaning, laundry, groceries, dog-walking, child pick up/drop off, dinner, lunch for next day) • Week 2 – OFF Our home is in Marda Loop, which is a central, SW location. We are a blended family with 4 teenage children that spend 50% of their time with us, on a rotation that alternates every other week. The days of the week for this job will typically involve every other Monday to Friday, full days. The hours are 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The hours are approximately 40 hours biweekly. We will require assistance with typical household and personal assistant duties including cooking meals, cleaning/housekeeping, doing laundry, grocery shopping, dog-walking, house organization and running the occasional errand. Being comfortable with meal preparation including cooking and baking a variety of healthy meals is essential. The rest of the job would involve supporting the children’s daily routines, including making school lunches and snacks for the next day. The children are at school most days from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, but may require school drop off and pick-up, so driving is a must. They will also need supervision when home from school on PD days and school holidays and may require transportation to playdates or other activities. We will offer $25/hour and can provide a T4, or partial cash job paid biweekly. We will also offer 2 weeks paid vacation each year to start, preferably taken at Christmas and/or summer around the kids’ schedules. We will provide additional gas money when running errands or transporting the children. The best fitting candidate would be a mature, reliable, well-organized individual, with advanced cooking skills, comfortable working with teenagers, and a clean driving record, who is also caring, nurturing, and outgoing. Flexibility is a must, as is experience with making healthy meals. Food Safe training preferred. The start date would be September 1, 2023, with a minimum commitment of 6 months.
