Hi there, We are Anna and Brandon. We are a buzzing young family living in Blue with two boys. Oliver is in grade one and is 6 & and Hudson is in JK and is 4. We run 2 companies and work a lot and recently found out that our son Hudson (4) has ADHD ASD and are looking for support around the house to help set us up for success and occasional support with kids. Right now it's about organizing, meal prepping, making sure kids' clothes and lunches are packed and helping where you can. The role right now is more around being a mother's helper but there will be times to support the kids so we are looking for someone who is open to both and is the rock we need to help us catch up on the busy tasks in between work. When you would have the shifts that are with the kids, here is the full job description of what we are looking for: Family Assistant (with some Childcare Support)→ Family Assistant position to a busy family Availability and hours: Option to switch between morning/ afternoon/evening/ weekend shifts. Part-time paid Contract | Flexible - You will be working roughly 25 hours a week. Together we will determine a schedule for the Day shift, Afternoon, evenings, certain Holidays, On-call, and some Weekend availability. Access to all Total Mom Inc events and memberships/ VIP boxes. About the Role: Family Assistant needed for a busy young family in Blue Mountain, Ontario. This role involves supporting the CEO of a media brand that provides support systems for working mothers across the country. The family consists of husband and wife 2 children ( boys ages 6 & 4). ***We don’t have pets, food allergies or anything like that. A younger son 4 years old has developmental delays ( ADHD, ASD) and needs supervision, support and sometimes needs to be separated from his brother when sharing isn't working and personal space is needed. We are looking for a compassionate, positive person who isn’t afraid to take initiative, bring forth organizational ideas and create a supportive environment through support. You are the glue that holds the support of parents and children. Parents need support to keep up with childcare and preparations/household duties. Your job is to fill in the blanks and help with some p[preparations and some supervision of kids so that things run smoothly. Kids are in school 8-4 pm We are looking for a caring person who understands the little things that will make a significant difference for parents with a son with disabilities. It's less of a caretaker role and more of a support role and we plan to have a backup babysitter and childcare so it can be a bit of both and depending on everyone's schedule. The children are 6 & 4-year-old boys. 4 year old has developmental delays and needs a little more attention to stay focused but both boys are wonderful. Likes kids and can be kind, patient, patient, supportive What we need help with: Help get kids out the door with breakfast, lunches and bags water Laundry - fold and organize clothes and hang/put away Outdoor/indoor supervision with kids after school Playroom - tidy up when kids aren’t home, supervise when they are playing Meal Prep & cooking Breakfast Morning routine support Prepare kids bags Supervise playtime Prep clothes for the next morning Afternoon Support After-school/evening shifts May need support pickup/dropoff at extracurriculars Preparing and giving out Snacks Playtime supervision Meal prep for dinner Help to get the kids to tidy up Prep clothes and water and PJs for Bath time support and have kids' stuff ready for the morning Occasional bus support to or from as needed Kids leave for the school bus by 7:40 am Kids return from the bus around 4 pm MEALS/FOOD Meal preparation- Prepare Coffee water -light breakfast yogurt or oatmeal for MOM, Light breakfast & coffee and water for MOM, support with meal prep for kids lunches/ sometimes preparing dinner or meal prepping jars into the fridge, Preparation of breakfast ( light breakfast and something light for kids, Coffee to bring up to the office ) Preparing lunches for kids and cutting up and organizing kids' snacks for after school Preparing after-school dinner to heat up Prepare dinner ( reheat, unfreeze, cook ) Picking up, ordering or putting groceries away, cutting up veggies and pre-making pasta and kids' food etc Organizing fridge so it's labelled, clean and easy to access. HOUSE AND HOME Organization of home-Help to put things away back in place, fold blankets, spray down counters Light laundry or folding, wiping down counters and putting toys away. Creating reminders in Alexa ( for kids, for family) Watering plants occasionally and swapping recycling/garbage in main areas House management - deliveries, shipments, art management (sal/purchase), organization Kids' basement/washroom - Light Tidy up to keep it organized Running errands like picking up and dropping off mail, dry cleaning returns, organizing receipts, Supporting with processing returns/mail, Hanging clothes back up into closets once a week, Post-work trip organizing and unpacking SHIFT EXAMPLES —------------------------------------------------------------------ Morning shift 7am to xxx Get kids ready- backpacks, dressed shoes Prepare next days clothes and lunches Support with kids' bags/lunches/laundry/light cleanup Prepare a light lunch for mom and dad water plants organize Tidy up, meal prep, prepare lunch Afternoon shift 12 pm -xxx Prepare and serve light lunch Prep Dinner for the family Supervise Kids 4:15 pm -eat snack, activity, dinner, clean up While kids have a bath, prepare clothes for the next day, school lunches and refill water bottles. Set up water and snack by the bed and have the pj’s and clothes for the next day ready. Spray down counters and dinner table, fold blankets and set backpacks at the front door Evening shift kids are in bed by 7 pm Split day shift hours 7 am-12 pm and then 4 pm -7 pm Weekend example -Watch kids for 4 hours or maybe an overnight shift if parents need to go on a trip.
